Time Flies

Wow! I can't believe so much time has gone by since I last posted. We took a family vacation to Florida shortly after my last post and I haven't posted since. Time flies!

We've made several changes to our inventory in the last several weeks. If you haven't been by lately, come check it out! We have the new lines from BasicGrey, Scenic Route, SEI, and Imaginisce. We have also added some new sport and baby items. We just received a delivery today from a new company for us -- Daisy Bucket! Four beautiful lines AND paper ribbon. Yes, PAPER RIBBON! I love this stuff! You can shred it, curl it, ink it, tie it, stamp it, distress it, paint it, or rub-on it. Its so much fun to play with. We have 39 different colors and patterns. Be sure to check it out!

First Sign of Spring

The first robin found her way to my front yard this afternoon. What a welcomed sight that spring may soon be here!

CHA Show Highlights

Well I've been back from the show for well over a week now but my table is still covered with catalogs and order forms! LOL The show was wonderful and I've ordered lots of fun new things for the store. I expect some of the new items to arrive as early as next week. I'll let you know when they do.

In the meantime, here is a quick rundown of some of the trends I saw:

  • Glitter and shimmer - still hot at this show....you'll see lots of sparkle on some of the upcoming products!

  • Birds, owls, and trees - another hot trend that seems to pop up everywhere...I've ordered some fun things but for those of you not quite sure about adding fowl to your projects, don't worry the store won't look anything like a scene from The Birds. LOL

  • Acrylic stamps - it seems almost every manufacturer has incorporated acrylic stamps into their selection to coordinate with their new lines.

  • Die-cut papers - as in the 12x12 kind...there are lots of beautiful papers out there with scalloped edges, lace cut-outs, and beautiful shapes

In addition to all of the fun, new trendy items I searched for new papers, stickers, and embellishments to our themed selections including teen boy and girl, baby, heritage, sports, birthday, beach, spring, summer, and more. I've also ordered lots of fun embellishments like ribbon, brads, chipboard shapes, glimmer mist, and rub-ons.

I can't wait to see UPS and FedEx show up with all of the new goodies!

This Place Is For The BIRDS!

Yes, birds are still super popular in scrapping and stamping this year. Big birds, tiny birds, trees with birds, bird shaped books. They're super cute! Here are just a few of my fun finds.

Thanks for all your emails yesterday. I'm still interested in hearing from you so keep them coming!

I'm off for more shopping and ordering. More later....

Greetings from CHA

Ahhhhh.....SUNSHINE! I'm happy to say I'm here in warm, sunny California the Craft and Hobby Show. I have to say, I was glad to escape snowy Maine for a while and soak in a little warm air and sunshine.

I spent yesterday at Day 1 of CHA and, as expected, I've found lots of fun new products to order! The first day of the show I basically spend looking around, collecting catalogs, and taking it all in. Today is Day 2 and I will place some orders and continue looking at the booths I never made it to yesterday.

It's always fun to see what the current trends are. This time I'm seeing a lot of clear and acrylic products, tons of acrylic stamps, and pleanty of shimmer and glitter!

So here's a question for you... There are hundreds of vendors and thousands of products here at the show... What types of products would you like to see me bring back to the store? Have you seen a sneak peek online or in a magazine and want me to check it out? Post a message and let me know what you'd like to see at Memory Lane!!
